     2014 Projects
1.  "Kinda Extreme Makeover"   #9
A grant request for paint was submitted and awarded by Valspar/Northland Foundation's MN Beautiful Program.  One group of volunteers prepared the home; a second group primed, and several volunteers painted the home and garage.
Kinda Extreme Makeover #9 Completed
on June 7!

Just when everyone thought the project was going to be rescheduled, the rain stopped, word spread, and the people came out to volunteer their time and talents to accomplish this project!  Painting was done in a couple of hours and we all enjoyed a very good lunch provided by several contributors.  See the slideshow below.
2.  Fire Hydrants

70 hydrants were painted on the south side of town in 2013.

CBA will organize teams to continue this project in Lakeview and north Chisholm areas on June 21, 2014.  Please call Carole at 218-254-2116 if you can help with this project.

Hydrants Painted
CBA organized teams to continue this project in Lakeview, Windy Hill, Hwy 73 and all east of 73.  Sixty (60) hydrants were painted by volunteers which  included members of the Chisholm Fire Department.  Lunch and refreshments were served to them at the Senior Center on Lake Street.

Pictured below are some of the faithful volunteers who made the fire hydrants in Chisholm come alive and shine!  Thanks to all who volunteered their time to complete this project.
3.  Bruce Mine Headframe Site
This historic Bruce Mine Headframe, is located at the east entrance to Chisholm, next to Hwy. 169.

It is the last standing headframe from the days of underground mining on the Mesabi Range, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The C.B.A.  will be pursuing grants to preserve this historic landmark.

Keep watching for future progress reports!
